Tracy Crook is assisting in the design of the Intake Manifold. Model 1 with fuel rail and injectors mounted on the plenum. This location is too far from the ports for optimum starting and idle.
|Intake Manifold Model 2 with fuel rail and injectors mounted closer to the ports. This location is still not ideal for starting and idle.|
Intake Manifold Model 3 with fuel rail and injectors adjacent to the ports. This location is optimal for starting and idle, but must be shielded from the exhaust sytem.
|Intake Manifold Model 4 with shielded fuel rail and injectors adjacent to the ports. Note space saving shorter plenum. However, the runners are unequal lengths.|
